Overview & Setup

RoGoid links Discord members to their Roblox accounts through Roblox's official sign-in, then gives them your verified role and a nickname automatically. Everything is configured from the dashboard, so there's nothing to set up with commands.

  1. Add RoGoid to your server. You'll be taken straight to that server's dashboard once it's added.
  2. Open SettingsRoles & nickname and pick a Verified role (and optionally an Unverified role).
  3. Post a verification panel from SettingsVerification panel, or let members run /verify.
  4. Pick a log channel under SettingsVerification log so staff can see who verifies.

Verification

Members verify by signing in with Roblox through Roblox's own OAuth page. They never share a password or paste a code into a profile. Once they finish, RoGoid gives them the Verified role, removes the Unverified role, and sets their nickname.

Nickname format

Set the nickname format under SettingsRoles & nickname. You can use these placeholders:

PlaceholderReplaced with
{robloxUsername}The member's Roblox username (default).
{robloxDisplayName}The member's Roblox display name.

Global re-verification

Once a member has verified in any RoGoid server, joining another RoGoid server re-verifies them instantly, usually in under 400 milliseconds, with no second sign-in. Their welcome DM tells them how long it took.

Manual verification

Staff with Manage Server can link someone by hand with /force-verify, or from the Force Verify button on the dashboard's member list. Give it a Roblox username to link them to that account, or leave it empty to verify the member without linking a Roblox account at all, either way RoGoid still removes the unverified role and assigns the verified role. /whois and the server activity log clearly show when someone was verified without a Roblox account. Look up who a member is linked to with /whois, you can choose who's allowed to use it under SettingsCommand access.

Minimum account age

Under SettingsMinimum account age, you can require a Discord account, a Roblox account, or both, to be older than a set number of days before someone can verify. Anyone below the limit is blocked with a clear message instead of getting through, this makes brand-new throwaway accounts useless against your server even if someone changes their IP address. Force-verifying bypasses this, same as it bypasses VPN blocking, since it's a direct manual action by staff.

Verification Panel

The panel is a message with a Verify button that you post in a channel of your choice from SettingsVerification panel. You can customise its text, add a thumbnail or banner image, choose where images sit, add dividers, and pick the button's colour and emoji. A live preview shows exactly how it will look in Discord before you post it.

You can also send new members a welcome DM after they verify, with its own images, dividers and button emoji, from SettingsVPN blocking & welcome message.

Verification Logs

Pick a channel under SettingsVerification log and RoGoid posts an entry every time someone verifies or is blocked, and when staff force verify, suspend, or unlink a member, or change settings. Each verification entry includes:

  • The member, the Roblox account they linked, and their Roblox avatar.
  • When their Roblox and Discord accounts were created, shown as Discord timestamps in each viewer's own time zone.
  • How they verified: signed in with Roblox, instantly re-verified, or force verified by staff.
  • When it happened in this server, and the reason if they were blocked (for example, a VPN was detected).

Alt Account Detection RoGoid+

The dashboard's Alt accounts page and the /banevaders command flag a member only when it's a real signal for your server: another Discord account sharing their Roblox login is currently in your server, or has been banned from it. Accounts linked elsewhere with no presence in your server aren't flagged, so the list stays free of noise.

/banevaders can be run once every 2 hours per server and requires Ban Members.

VPN & Proxy Blocking RoGoid+

When enabled in Settings, verification attempts from VPNs, proxies, and hosting or datacenter IPs are blocked. The member is told why, the attempt is posted to your verification log, and it shows up on your server's Analytics page.

Custom Verify Page RoGoid+

Make the verification page your members see match your server. RoGoid+ lets you, from SettingsVerification page, write the success message shown when they finish, pick background and accent colours, and upload a full background image. Uploaded images are reviewed before they go live, since the page is public.

Bot Customization RoGoid+

Give RoGoid its own nickname, avatar, banner, and description in your server from the Bot page of your dashboard. Our staff review every change before it goes live, and until then it shows as "Awaiting review" so you always know where it stands.

You can reset everything back to RoGoid's defaults at any time with no review. After an approval or a reset there's a short cooldown before you can submit again, and only one request can be pending per server at a time.

RoGoid+

RoGoid+ unlocks VPN and proxy blocking, alt account detection, /banevaders, the custom verify page, direct image uploads, and Bot Customization. See the RoGoid+ page for plans.

If you subscribe through Discord, you choose the server at checkout and RoGoid+ turns on there automatically. If you have a key, for example from a Robux purchase, redeem it in your server with /redeem key:RG-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. RoGoid+ belongs to the server it's activated on, not to the person who redeemed it.

Commands

Most servers only ever need /verify. Everything else is for staff.

CommandUse
/verifyLink your Roblox account in this server. Available to everyone.
/configGet a button that signs you in and opens this server's dashboard. Requires Manage Server.
/force-verifyManually verify a member without them signing in. A Roblox username is optional, leave it empty to verify without linking a Roblox account. Requires Manage Server.
/whoisShow which Roblox account a member is linked to, when their accounts were created, and how they verified.
/redeemRedeem a RoGoid+ key for this server. Requires Manage Server.
/banevaders RoGoid+List banned users with a linked alt in this server. Requires Ban Members.

See the commands page for full arguments.

Bot Permissions

RoGoid asks for these when you add it. The ones it relies on most are:

PermissionUsed for
Manage RolesGiving the Verified role and removing the Unverified role.
Manage NicknamesApplying your nickname format.
View Channels & Send MessagesPosting the verification panel and log entries.
Use External EmojisShowing RoGoid's icons in its messages.
Role order matters. RoGoid's own role must sit above your Verified and Unverified roles in Server SettingsRoles, or Discord won't let it assign them. It also can't change the nickname of the server owner.
We recommend giving RoGoid Administrator. Servers change their roles, channels and settings over time, and Administrator means RoGoid keeps working through all of that without running into a missing-permission error later. It's not required, the permissions above cover the core features, but it's the smoothest, most reliable setup.

Recommended Setup Order

  1. Add RoGoid and drag its role above your Verified and Unverified roles.
  2. Pick your roles and nickname format.
  3. Choose a verification log channel.
  4. Design and post your verification panel.
  5. Optional: set up a welcome DM, and with RoGoid+, turn on VPN blocking and customise your verify page.
  6. Verify yourself once to check everything works end to end.
